... I'm a freelance Drummer/Pianist/Web Designer born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. I graduated from The Ohio State University (Go Bucks!) with a BS in Computer & Information Science but I'm not your typical computer nerd! Besides working with computers, I have always been very active in music. I have toured with drum & bugle corps for a number of years, first playing in the pit and then marching on bass drum with the Marion Cadets. For the premier season of Limited Edition, I marched snare drum and represented the corps as a member of the DCM All-Star Drum & Bugle Corps marching on quads. While at OSU, I was a five-year member of the OSU Marching Band playing snare drum, and played drum set in the OSU Jazz Combos, OSU Jazz Lab Ensemble, and the OSU Jazz Ensemble receiving the Tri-C award for outstanding musicianship.

I have also drummed with the Michael Arnold Group playing contemporary jazz/fusion, the Michael Arnold Trio playing traditional jazz, with Vince Andrews playing contemporary and traditional jazz, and with "The Missing Link" playing a mix of jazz. I have also played keyboards with the Patrol performing a mix of jazz and funk, and also with "Mojo Jack" playing blues, rock, and funk.

Currently, I play drums with "The Silky Ray Band" performing rhythm & blues and jazz, with "After Hours" playing traditional and contemporary jazz, and I also play drums and keyboards simultaneously with "The Rick Soriano 3man 4tet". I also play keyboards with Lydia Brownfield's band: "Trouble With Brownfield", with "Stackhouse East" playing covers from the 60's to the present, and with the Soriano Duo playing classical, jazz, new age, and pop, as well as playing solo piano gigs.

I have a wide range of interests: many styles of music (especially jazz), playing drum set, timbales and piano, snow skiing, rollerblading, tennis, racquetball, and dancing (mainly salsa, merengue, bachata, some cha cha, swing, and freestyle/hip-hop).
